Hillary Clinton hires a sistah to take on Obama

Maggie Williams, a formal chief of staff to Hillary Clinton is now her new campaign manager. I guess Hillary feels the need to bring on a sistah to take away some of Obama's momentum. African Americans are coming out of the "woodworks" to support Obama.

Part of the Clinton's legacy was the support they had from the African American community. Can they regain that support in the future?

Barkley disses Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton

So I was over on Fox Sports and came across and article about Charles Barkley running for Governor of Alabama. It is not a big deal that he wants to run for governor. He mentioned this fact a long time ago in Playboy magazine. What is funny about it this go around is he stated that he does NOT want endorsements from Jessie Jackson and Al Shapton. Barkley stated, "I don't believe in them, they always play the race card, and you can't always play the race card."

Barkley was known for speaking his mind while he was an NBA star. Being very blunt was his claim to fame.

Loving Yourself

While driving from across the country from the Gulf Coast to LosAngeles, I was scanning the radio and heard one of the most beautifulsongs I have heard in a very very long time. Tamia was singing about atransition in her life and how she was going to put herself first. Basically, she was breaking up with her violent boyfriend and was goingto start dating herself.
-chorus-

And her name is me,
And she loves me more than you'll ever know
And I finally see that loving you and loving me
Just don't seem to work at all
So patiently, she's waiting on me to tell you
That she needs love
And to choose between you two, boy you know
If I have to choose,
I choose me

The song is beautiful and demonstrates the importance of loving yourself.

In the real world, Tamia is married to Grant Hill. They seem to beloving couple. Gotta love that.

Another Brotha sweating a White Girl

These are words I heard from a Sistah when she saw these photos of 50 Cent drooling all over Paris Hilton. My first thoughts were...."STOP HATING" and then I realized that when 50 Cent is seen with African American women, it is either highly sexual or it is on the misogny side.

I don't know...maybe the Sistah was NOT hating when she made that remark.
